Not potent enough, but good packaging
I've used another brand of Huang Lian Shang Qing Pian for many years and 3 pills of that brand are usually good enough. But with this brand, even six pills aren't enough. The label says to take 5 pills. However, I like that these come in a bottle, rather than tiny packages with only a few pills per package. These were also a little cheaper than the other brand.

Clears Acne
This cleared my acne and a boil that I had within a couple of weeks of using it. Not sure if you’re supposed to use it long term so I just used one bottle and then the Acnipearl afterwards which i am still using.

really works
I have been using this for my fever blisters flare ups. As soon as I feel one coming on..I take it for 1-2 days..and gone..have been taking this now for several years..

Works every time!
I've been buying this for several years and will continue to use it! It works best when you use it as soon as you feel a fever blister coming on. It usually clears it within 2-3 days! Its amazing! Better than anything else I've tried!

Great Features!
CoptisClear is one of the popular Chinese medicines we often keep at home. Usually, we brought it from China or asked friends to buy us in China. Two months ago, I found it from the product list of ActiveHerb, and bought one to have a try. Interestingly, the GUANG CI TANG product is much better than the similar medicine we brought from China, and the price is a little lower than those sold in China Market. So, I ordered another one last month. It is very convenient and effective!

Good for “heat” symptoms
I tend to bite my tongue, the side of the tongue or inside of my cheek. My tongue easily burnt by hot food too. As a result, canker sores would form, my tongue or inside of my cheek would be red, swollen and they would be painful. I took CoptisClear (recommended dosage) for 2 days and I can see the improvement on the 3rd day. I also use watermelon powder at night for speedy recovery.

Clears Heat
When I use the product as directed it helps clear any heat related problems like canker sores, and annoying teeth marks inside the mouth. I will reach for this whenever I seem to have a pitta or fire imbalance (I realize I am crossing cultures here, but there seem to be some similarities). It takes 2-3 days to see results.

My urine has been orange since I started taking this product. I'm drinking lots of water but still darker than usual. I know it's supposes to remove toxins through urine but is this normal? Also mouth has been very dry.
After taking Huanglian Shangqing tablets, it is normal for urine to turn yellow. Huanglian Shangqing tablets contain ingredients such as coptis, which may affect the color of urine. Typically, this change is temporary and will not affect health. However, if you are concerned or experience other discomfort, please consult a doctor for professional advice.

Is this the same as huang lian su?
No. Huang Lian Su refers to berberine, an active ingredient of Huang Lian. This product is a formula with multiple herbs. Thank you.
