Gan Bing Zhi Ben Wan (Gan Bing Zhi Ben Pian,
肝病治本片)
invigorates the spleen and tonifies the kidney, removes toxin and promotes the blood circulation.†
The Chinese medicine may be used for chronic hepatitis B, hepatitis with splenomegaly or
post-hepatitis fatigue, poor appetite, nausea, disliking of greasy good, pain in the right
hypochondriac region, and abdominal distension.† It also strengthens healthy Qi
but does not retain the pathogenic factors, and eliminates the pathogenic factors but does not
injure the healthy Qi in order to activate and regulate immune function and strengthen the ability
of the body to eliminate disease and to resist toxic substances.
