What does it do?
小柴胡汤适用于中医范畴的少阳证。传统上，这意味着外邪已经侵入人的体表，但有待进一步侵袭体内。这时病邪既不在表，又未入里，介于半表半里间。而出现的既不同于表证，又不同于里证的证候，表现为三焦经以及胆经的病证，常见特征即寒热往来无定时，胸部和肋骨两侧胀满不适，口苦咽干，食欲降低，恶心，呕吐，烦躁。根据中医的说法，这个“半内半外”的层次主要对应于胆囊和肝脏器官/经络。
小柴胡片由七味中药组成。柴胡味苦入肝胆经，为本方的主药，能透解邪热，疏气，疏肝解郁。黄芩味苦，清火除热，清半表半里之热。故柴胡黄芩合用，苦寒清热，解半表半里之邪，疏畅少阳，通调三焦，清热除烦；是治疗往来寒热的要药。半夏和生姜性温味辛。半夏能化痰和胃，消痞止呕；生姜温中止呕，增强消化。两药配伍以调理脾胃，降逆止呕。党参、甘草、大枣三药为甘补之品，能益气补脾，扶正祛邪。七药相辅相成，寒热并用，攻补兼施，可使邪气得解，少阳得和，上焦得通，津液得下，胃气得和，有汗出热解的功效。

Recommended for my dog by a veterinarian.
I am not sure yet how it is working for him. I think a person or dog in this case would need to be on it a month or longer to know for sure how it is working as natural products don't work immediately but rather need a bit more time to begin doing what needs to be done. This is not a fast service cure all but rather a product to get him on the path he needs to recover from his injury.

It’s working
After having been suggested by my acupuncturist I ordered Xiao Chai Hu Pian for the bitter taste after meals. I am happy to say the after taking 5 pills 3 times a day that symptom is disappearing. I will order more and continue to take it.

Every time my tummy hurts I grab my Xiao Chai , I take vitamins & herbs for my health but sometimes it's a strong herb & upsets the balance , this is excellent, also my herbalist

Good information and service
I got this two Chinese medicine to try. The service is great and very fast, just not sure yet if it works very well. Will see later on. One things for sure, I don't need to take any western medicine which might not be good for health and can't take for a long term...

Do you recommend the tablets or pills if I want to make a tea with the product, i.e., will the tablets dissolve in hot water or am I better off emptying capsules? I dislike swallowing tablets/capsules, have been making tea with herbal granules. Thank you.
