龙胆泻肝汤是最常用的清除肝火的中药成方。用西方的话说，可以“冷却你的引擎”。使用西方的类比，将肝脏视为汽车中的发动机。如果您汽车中的机油干净且处于最佳水平，则您的发动机将运行平稳。但是，如果您在发动机中倒入错误类型的燃料，气体（使汽车行驶的“气”）会燃烧得太快，而发动机油（润滑发动机的“血液”）也会过热。

My Liver's Best Friend.
Liver FireClear is one of my actual favorite formula at ActiveHerb. It has served me really well when I was experiencing sluggishness, irritability, pain in the side -ribs. All very unpleasant symptoms related to liver deficiencies that were resolved pretty fast, about 2 weeks into taking the maximum dosage. Nowadays, I keep a "maintenance" dosage. Half of what I used to take.
I keep this maintenance dosage going as I have noticed that when I don't symptoms reappear. Proof, to me, that this product works. Active Herb usually gives a detailed account of what their formulas do and what particular symptoms they address. Very informative and Effective!

Very Helpful
I used this formula when for some reason I've got symptoms of bitterness in my mouth during eating and early in the morning. These symptoms in TCM are typically associated with Gall Bladder / Liver disbalance. The symptoms persisted about a week but on the next day after I started taking this formula I started feeling better. In about 3-4 days the symptoms were completely gone but I took the tablets for about two weeks to ensure the balance became stable.Now it 's already 3 weeks after I finished and everything looks good. Make sure to consult your doctor prior to using this formula.

Good for cooling-down anger
I had a difficult situation at work that angered me for a few months, but even after the situation resolved, I found myself prone to anger, even at simple every-day situations. I eat a wholesome diet and meditate regularly, but that wasn't helping. My oriental-medicine doctor explained that a period of anger can let the wrong energy into the liver, leaving it hot and imbalanced. After using Liver FireClear formula for a little over a month, taking 5 pills 3 times each day, I find my cheerful attitude has returned.

Life Changing
This herb works with the concept of organ heat and has changed my life. This has healed years of dry skin, over heating at night, dehydration, feelings of always hungry, and reversed the effects of stress on my body. I feel better and look better. Works great!
Many years ago I was prescribed a combination herb tablet by a TCM doc for a weird issue I was having with my lips. It cleared up my problem. The issue returned recently and I could not find the empty bottle I had saved just in case it returned. I used my intuition and bought this product. 5 tablets 3x per day cleared it up. I used the whole bottle. Very pleased.

Helps liver heat away
I suffer from liver heat once in a while due to stress, taking too many supplements, etc. I can tell easily when it happens because both sides of my tongue get red and I have more pimples on my face. This supplement helps reduce the liver heat and I feel much better after taking it for a few days. I'll definitely buy this again.

I initially bought this for my husband to help with his mood (anxious with anger flare ups)
And it is incredible how it works! But I myself have literally only taken this for 3 days and I am feeling so great. Happy again! It has been a tough year, so any help to relieve negative emotions is a plus. I have also noticed that it has helped to clear up a small patch of eczema on the back of my neck (I like spicy food too much) Hence the heat clearing properties of this herbal remedy. I will never be without it!

Can this formula be taken with Gui Pi Wan-spleenvive?
Counterproductive strategy. Long Dan Xie Gan is a heavily clearing formula while Gui Pi is a heavily nourishing formula. Wait untuil your body is clear of the Liver Fire/Dampness etc. before starting the Gui Pi pills. You can always switch back if your body needs clearing again but be careful because overuse of Long Dan Xie Gan can damage the Kidney.
