What does it do?

更年期是人生长发育成熟转向衰退的转折时期，是生命的必然过程。女性在50岁左右由于雌性荷尔蒙减少，月经会停止，卵巢也不再产卵。规律的月经周期过渡到绝经需要一两年时间，通常由于荷尔蒙分泌失调这个过程不会顺畅。一般会出现潮热，盗汗，情绪波动，失眠，腰背酸痛等不适症状，这就是所谓的更年期综合症。

从中医的角度来看，更年期是肾虚的结果。肾中所藏之精气，是机体生命活动之本。肾阴、肾阳是肾中精气生理效应的两个方面。肾脏功能随着年龄而下降。潮热以及烦躁不安是阴虚的迹象而腰背酸痛是肾精亏虚的一个表现。虽然潮热是更年期综合症最明显的症状，但经常有些人同时又有手脚冰凉和怕冷的症状。潮热和手脚冰凉并存表明肾阴阳两虚。二仙汤是独特的中医名方，补肾壮阳与滋阴泻火并用，专门用于治疗肾阳和肾阴同时不足的更年期综合症。

二仙汤是上海已故名医张伯讷教授20世纪50年代针对更年期综合症经临床反复筛选验证，最终研制出的方剂。由于方用仙茅、仙灵脾二药为主，故名"二仙汤"。另外"二仙"亦寓运用之后，功效奇特如神仙之意。

广慈堂二仙片6味中药精细配伍而成。它能温补肾阳，滋阴养精，调理肝血，泻火。其中仙茅、仙灵脾（淫羊藿）二药补肾壮阳为主药；配伍巴戟天温肾阳，补肾精，三药温肾壮阳，强筋健骨。黄柏、知母相须为用，滋养肾阴而泻肾火。当归，为妇科疾病的一种常用的中草药，温润养血和调节月经。

    Rated 5 out of 5 by from One Year Later - Great Results Don't know what I would do without this stuff! I was having hot flashes followed by chills, sometimes 2-3 times an hour. Miserable! Er Xian Pian was recommended by a TCM specialist and I am so glad it was. I started at 6 tablets, 4 times a day (my symptoms were severe). The hot flashes are gone. After 3 months, my dosage was reduced. I now take 5 tablets 2 times a day. Thank you for making such an effective product.

    Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for hot and cold flashes. I recommend this formula if you have hot flashes, night sweats along with cold flashes or freezing feet. I was having terrible night sweats and cold flashes due to surgical menopause so I tried a few different herbal formulas (YinGreat, YinVive, YinViveCool), but this one works the best for me. It stopped my night sweats after only a few days of 8pills 2x a day and didn't make me overly cold during the day like the other formulas did.

I tried another remedy that was recommended by my acupuncturist, but, for now, this is the one that gets rid of all hot flashes. The other remedy was prescribed a year ago and the body changes. I have very cold feet and legs along with my hot flashes. I take 3 twice a day to get results, but I'm very sensitive so I need low doses of herbs to get an effect.

I had my menopause 20 years ago and I recently stopped using bio identical hormone replacement ointment and this works on hair loss, mood swing, not so much on the dryness , maybe I still need to find the perfect dosage.
